It was established that they were involved in the sale of passports, birth certificates, driver's licenses, and secondary and higher education certificates for monetary reward.
As a result of searches, passports, driver's licenses, various certificates and documents with signs of forgery, as well as blank forms of notarized powers of attorney, birth certificates, and marriage certificates with security features and special equipment designed for the production of forged documents were found and seized.
As it became known during the investigation, some of the documents with security features and watermarks were produced in a foreign country.
