The authorities discussed the development priorities for the Tonsky District as part of the National Programme until 2030

A field meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Bakyt Torobaev was held to discuss the country's priority areas of development within the framework of the National Programme until 2030, as well as the socio-economic situation and future of the Tonsky District.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the district administration, the aiyl okmotu, as well as relevant ministries and departments. The key issue was the analysis of the current situation in the district and the formulation of measures for its development, taking into account the objectives of the National Programme approved by the President in June this year.

During the meeting, Bakyt Torobaev emphasised the importance of involving local authorities in the implementation of strategic goals, including achieving a per capita GDP of $4,500 and a national GDP of at least $30 billion by 2030.

‘The Tonsky District has significant potential in the agricultural sector, tourism, processing and manufacturing. The task is to create conditions under which these resources will begin to work for sustainable development and improving the quality of life of the local population,’ Torobaev said.

Following the meeting, the local administration was tasked with developing a detailed development plan for the Tonsky District until 2030, focusing on agriculture, tourism, industrialisation, green energy and the formation of a regional hub, as well as intensifying efforts to attract both public and private investment.

We would like to add that the National Development Programme of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030 is a key strategic document that defines the country's medium-term goals and priorities, including improving living standards, stimulating economic growth and developing key industries.
