Jewelry from Kyrgyzstan has risen in price fourfold

According to the results of January–April 2025, Kyrgyzstan significantly increased its foreign trade operations with jewelry made of precious metals, both in terms of imports and exports.

Imports for the four months amounted to 15.6 tons worth 506.3 million KGS ($5.8 million), which is more than twice last year's figures in monetary terms. A year earlier, only 0.1 tons worth 242.4 million KGS were imported.

Exports also showed significant growth: while the volume remained at 0.1 tons, the value of exports quadrupled from KGS 12.9 million to KGS 52 million (almost $600,000). The main buyers were Italy, Russia, and unspecified countries.

This trend may indicate the expansion of sales channels for Kyrgyz jewelry abroad.
