The head of the Cabinet noted that taxes are an indicator of the fulfilment of every citizen's and every entrepreneur's social duty to the country.
«The organisation of the tax system is both a great science and a great policy. That is why you do not limit yourselves to collecting taxes, but have become a service working in partnership with business, understanding the needs of society and striving for transparency and efficiency. For many years, the function of redistributing national income in our country was poorly performed, and the shadow economy significantly exceeded the legal sector. Only in recent years has it been possible to bring order to the economy. Thanks to the introduction of modern technologies and new rules, the shadow sector has begun to be legalised and financial flows have become transparent. As a result, the tax service has become capable of protecting the interests of the state and society, ensuring the timely collection of taxes and insurance contributions, and accumulating significant funds to finance education, healthcare, security and regional development», — he said.
Adylbek Kasymaliyev continued that in 2024, tax and insurance contributions amounted to 302.4 billion soms, which is 53 billion soms more than in 2023, with growth of more than 21%.In the first five months of this year, tax and insurance contributions amounted to 147.4 billion soms, which is 33.3 billion soms, or 28%, more than in the same period last year.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers emphasised that today the Tax Service is a strong state body with a digital development vector and outlined a number of important tasks. These include further digitalisation and automation of processes, improvement of tax administration, combating the shadow economy, expanding dialogue with the population and business, and creating conditions for voluntary and timely payment of taxes.
«Particular attention should be paid to the perception of business as a partner — supporting, backing and accompanying entrepreneurs. Our tax system should not hinder business; on the contrary, it should stimulate its development. To this end, we are making efforts to get rid of excessive bureaucracy. The 100-day accelerator implemented this year has become an effective tool for this», — he said.
In conclusion, the Prime Minister emphasised that the state has high hopes for the State Tax Service and wished tax officials good health, prosperity, success and new victories.
