    Tourism Generates Over 160 Million KGS in Tax Revenues in Six Months

    In the first six months of the year, tax revenues from the tourism industry in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 160.6 million KGS, according to the State Tax Service.

    The tourism sector is steadily increasing its contribution to the state budget.

    Over the past five years, tax revenues from the tourism business have grown more than sixfold, reaching a total of 1.1 billion KGS.

    How tax revenues from tourism have grown:

    • 2020: 49.3 million KGS;
    • 2021: 123.6 million KGS;
    • 2022: 200 million KGS;
    • 2023: 277.1 million KGS;
    • 2024: 336 million KGS.

    The dynamic growth in revenues is explained by the recovery of the tourism industry after the pandemic, an increase in the flow of foreign tourists, and the revitalisation of domestic tourism.
