    Environmental violations caused over 67 million KGS in damages in first half of 2025

    From January to June 2025, the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan recorded 2,609 environmental violations. The total damage to the state is estimated at 67 million 653 thousand KGS.

    According to the ministry, administrative fines totaling nearly 34 million KGS were imposed in 2,370 cases. In 419 cases, lawsuits worth over 31 million KGS were filed.

    The violations involved air, water, and soil pollution, improper waste management, and harm to wildlife and vegetation. There were also cases related to industrial safety, mining oversight, and subsoil protection.

    As of now, 32 million 135 thousand KGS have been recovered from 1,538 cases — which accounts for 47.5% of the total sanctions imposed.
