12/10/2025, 14:43In the Chui region, the head of the Chui Basin Water Resources Management Agency was detained on suspicion of embezzling 12 million KGS. The incident is related to the repair of the Petropavlovsky canal in the Zhayyl district.
The State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic reports the detention of citizen R.M.O., born in 1965. He is suspected of corruption violations during the overhaul of the Petropavlovsky Canal in 2022-2024.
The investigation revealed violations of urban planning legislation and misuse of budget funds, which caused damage to the state in the amount of 12 million KGS. The detainee has been placed in the GKNB KR's temporary detention facility.
Investigative and operational measures are currently underway to identify other persons involved in these violations.
