08/14/2025, 11:33Deputy Prime Minister Bakyt Torobaev has instructed the Veterinary, Livestock Development, Pastures and Feed Service to reduce wholesale meat prices.
In addition, according to another order, the Antimonopoly Regulation Service was tasked with monitoring retail meat prices. Accordingly, the price of meat should be below 700 KGS.
Bakyt Torobaev also gave additional instructions to state-owned enterprises importing beef from abroad.
It should be noted that earlier, at the end of July, an interdepartmental meeting chaired by Bakyt Torobaev was held, at which the introduction of state control over meat prices was announced, as a result of which market prices began to gradually decline.
At that time, the Veterinary, Livestock Development, Pastures and Feed Service was given specific instructions to strengthen veterinary and sanitary control over private entrepreneurs engaged in livestock transport, as well as to work with the Border Service to combat smuggling.
