Wages in Kyrgyzstan have risen across all key sectors

In Kyrgyzstan, between January and May 2026, an increase in the average monthly nominal wage was recorded across all sectors of the economy. This was reported by the National Statistical Committee.

The largest increase in wages was observed in the arts, entertainment and recreation sector. In this sector, earnings rose by 42.9 per cent.

Significant wage increases were also observed in a number of social sectors. In healthcare and social services, the increase amounted to 38.2 per cent. In the education sector, wages rose by 34.6 per cent. In agriculture, forestry and fisheries, the increase reached 34.4 per cent. In professional, scientific and technical activities, wages rose by 32.2 per cent.

Positive wage trends were also recorded in other sectors of the economy. In water supply, sewage treatment and waste management, growth stood at 28.3 per cent. In real estate activities, wages increased by 24.9 per cent, whilst in the financial sector and insurance, they rose by 23.7 per cent.

In the construction sector, growth stood at 22.5 per cent, and in the energy sector at 22.4 per cent. In public administration and defence, wages rose by 20 per cent. The same rate of growth was recorded in the transport and logistics sector. In administrative and support services, the figure stood at 19.9 per cent, whilst in trade, including the repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, it was 17.1 per cent.

The data presented reflects the overall growth in nominal wages in Kyrgyzstan at the start of 2026. Positive trends are observed in virtually all major sectors of the economy without exception.
