Completion of the national campaign to exchange 2004 ID cards for new ones

The national campaign to exchange 2004 AN series ID cards for new 2024 ID cards has been completed. The campaign, announced by President Sadyr Zhaparov, was conducted from July 1 to August 31 on a voluntary and free basis, and was aimed at replacing outdated documents.

To date, about 100 thousand applications for the exchange of ID-cards have been submitted throughout the country. Of these, more than 74 thousand new passports have been successfully produced. The largest number of applications came from Bishkek city - 19 thousand 177, followed by Osh region with 16 thousand 677 and Jalal-Abad region with 15 thousand 667 applications.

The distribution of applications by regions is as follows:

Batken oblast - 10 thousand 996 applications;

Bishkek - 19 thousand 177 applications;

Osh - 6 thousand 214 applications;

Jalal-Abad oblast - 15 thousand 667 applications;

Issyk-Kul region - 7 thousand 470 applications;

Naryn region - 3 thousand 248 applications;

Osh region - 16 thousand 677 applications;

Talas oblast - 4 thousand 99 applications;

Chui region - 12 thousand 998 applications.

The campaign was organized for the exchange of ID-cards of 2004 in yellow color with AN series. Cards of 2017 sample were not subject to exchange. Thanks to this initiative, thousands of citizens renewed their documents for ID-cards of the new sample of 2024.
