09/02/2024, 10:10The national campaign to exchange 2004 AN series ID cards for new 2024 ID cards has been completed. The campaign, announced by President Sadyr Zhaparov, was conducted from July 1 to August 31 on a voluntary and free basis, and was aimed at replacing outdated documents.
To date, about 100 thousand applications for the exchange of ID-cards have been submitted throughout the country. Of these, more than 74 thousand new passports have been successfully produced. The largest number of applications came from Bishkek city - 19 thousand 177, followed by Osh region with 16 thousand 677 and Jalal-Abad region with 15 thousand 667 applications.
The distribution of applications by regions is as follows:
Batken oblast - 10 thousand 996 applications;
Bishkek - 19 thousand 177 applications;
Osh - 6 thousand 214 applications;
Jalal-Abad oblast - 15 thousand 667 applications;
Issyk-Kul region - 7 thousand 470 applications;
Naryn region - 3 thousand 248 applications;
Osh region - 16 thousand 677 applications;
Talas oblast - 4 thousand 99 applications;
Chui region - 12 thousand 998 applications.
The campaign was organized for the exchange of ID-cards of 2004 in yellow color with AN series. Cards of 2017 sample were not subject to exchange. Thanks to this initiative, thousands of citizens renewed their documents for ID-cards of the new sample of 2024.
