Zaparov held talks with the OSCE Secretary General on expanding projects in Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zaparov held a meeting with OSCE Secretary General Feridun Sinirlioğlu. The parties discussed expanding cooperation, regional security and joint projects.

Particular attention was paid to the work of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek, where 22 projects are already being implemented, as well as to issues of judicial reform, digitalisation and the protection of human rights. The President noted the organisation’s significant contribution and the importance of further cooperation.

They also discussed strengthening cooperation with Central Asian countries and supporting efforts to ensure stability in border regions. The topics of peaceful conflict resolution and the current global geopolitical situation were also raised.

The OSCE Secretary General spoke highly of Kyrgyzstan’s achievements, including the development of democracy and a foreign policy aimed at good-neighbourly relations and confidence-building in the region.
