Most purchases are made in shops, markets and retail chains, i.e. in organised trade. Its turnover for the year amounted to more than 645 billion KGS. This is almost a quarter more than in 2023.
Compared to 2020, the turnover of commercial organisations has doubled. They now account for almost 70% of all retail trade in the country. This means that people are increasingly shopping at official retail outlets rather than at informal markets or from private sellers.
