03/12/2025, 16:52Today, 12 March, deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh in the first reading approved the bill on ratification of the Protocol on Amendments to the agreement between Kyrgyzstan and South Korea on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion.
According to Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Nazarbek Malayev, the document was signed on 3 December 2024 in Seoul and amends the agreement of 11 December 2012. The protocol is aimed at updating provisions on income and capital taxation, as well as strengthening measures to combat tax evasion.
Ratification of the document will improve tax cooperation between the countries and create a more favourable environment for investors.
