12/31/2025, 11:51Minister of Economy and Commerce Bakytbek Sydykov delivered a congratulatory message on the occasion of the upcoming New Year 2026, noting the steady growth of the country's economy and key priorities for the coming period.
In his address, the head of the ministry emphasized that over the past four years, Kyrgyzstan's economy has shown steady positive dynamics. According to him, the average annual GDP growth rate over the past three years was 9.8%, and at the end of 11 months of the year, real GDP growth reached 10.2%, setting a record high.
The minister recalled that, according to the International Monetary Fund, Kyrgyzstan is among the world's top three leaders in terms of real GDP growth. Further confirmation of the strengthening of macroeconomic positions was the upgrade of the country's sovereign credit rating to “B+” in 2025, according to leading international rating agencies.
Bakytbek Sydykov expressed his gratitude to all those who, through their hard work and professionalism, contribute to the development of the country and strengthen the authority of the Ministry of Economy at the national and international levels.
Speaking about plans for 2026, the minister noted that the government's work will focus on supporting the industrial sector, improving the investment climate, developing entrepreneurship, implementing fiscal reform, expanding foreign economic ties, as well as strengthening environmental sustainability and adaptation to climate change.
In conclusion, he wished the people of Kyrgyzstan good health, prosperity, and confidence in the future, and expressed his hope that 2026 would be a year of new achievements, stability, and prosperity for the country and each of its citizens.
