12/13/2025, 10:00The total number of registered unemployed people in the country was 42,717, which is 75.5% of last year's level. The most significant decrease was in the Chui region, down to 1,600 people, or 61.1% of last year's figure. This is according to data from the National Statistics Committee on food security.
In Bishkek, the number of unemployed fell to 3,325 people, which is 71.5% of the same date last year. The Osh region also reduced its figures by 11,000 people (74.6%). However, the city of Osh bucked the trend: 3,079 people were registered here, which is 6.3% more than last year, making it the only region to show growth.
This heterogeneity shows that the labour market is recovering unevenly. Some regions are actively reducing the number of unemployed, while individual cities are facing local factors that hinder stabilisation.
