More than 150 km of new roads were built in Kyrgyzstan in 2025

In 2025, freight traffic in Kyrgyzstan grew by 3.5%, while passenger traffic increased by 2.2%. The country opened new roads and railway sections, strengthening the transport system.

During the reporting period of 2025, the transport sector of the Kyrgyz Republic showed positive dynamics. The volume of freight traffic increased by 3.5% compared to the previous year, reflecting the stable development of the industry and growth in logistics activity.

Particular attention was paid to road infrastructure. More than 150 km of new motorways were put into operation, and several transport hubs were modernised, increasing the speed and safety of traffic.

Progress has also been made in the railway industry: two new checkpoints have been opened and the main sections of the railway have been upgraded.

Domestic passenger traffic grew by 2.2%, indicating increased mobility among citizens and improved transport accessibility. International freight traffic increased by 4.1% thanks to expanded ties with neighbouring countries and growth in foreign trade operations.

Overall, the results for 2025 show the sustainable development of the transport sector, its key role in the country's economy and further prospects for infrastructure improvement.
