12/24/2025, 15:22Today, December 24, at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh, MP Marlen Mamataliev proposed to provide an additional opportunity for citizens who did not manage to legalize cars with foreign license plates.
According to him, to date, a significant number of citizens have not been able to register their vehicles for various reasons.
“There are people who worked in Russia but were unable to return. There are also those who are here but do not have the means or opportunity to obtain legal assistance. There are still many such citizens. Why not give them another chance and support our compatriots?” the deputy said.
In turn, Deputy Minister of Economy Iskender Asylkulov said that the ministry also receives similar requests, but the exact number of cars that have not been legalized is still unknown.
“We will find out how many such vehicles there are. After determining the exact number, we will submit appropriate proposals,” he said.
Marlene Mamataliev expressed his willingness to assist in determining the number of unregistered vehicles and proposed joint work on this issue. The Deputy Minister of Economy supported the initiative.
According to Iskender Asylkulov, the campaign to legalize vehicles with foreign license plates, which ran from April 1 to October 1 this year, brought in more than 1.8 billion soms to the budget.
