11/06/2025, 13:49During the Third People's Kurultai, 652 appeals were submitted to the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry. Of these, 50% concerned irrigation issues and 30% concerned the provision of drinking water to the population.
In addition, the appeals raised issues of rational use of pastures, construction of processing enterprises and trade and logistics centres, development of veterinary services, provision of mineral fertilisers, improvement of livestock breeding and provision of preferential loans.
Some issues have already been resolved. For example, the construction of 10 daily and ten-day regulating reservoirs has been completed, and the facilities have been put into operation. Currently, construction work is underway at 12 facilities, and design work is underway at 29 facilities.
Repair and cleaning work has been carried out on 430 kilometres of canals, 302 hydraulic structures, 123 water gauging stations, 91 pumping stations and 156 pumping units. Nine pumping units have been replaced and 53.5 kilometres of the collector-drainage system have been cleaned.
Drip and sprinkler irrigation systems were installed on an area of 8,365 hectares, of which 1,702 hectares are state-owned land and 6,663 hectares are private farms.
Construction of a concrete pavement production plant has begun. In 2025, it is planned to install concrete pavement on 500,000 square metres of canals. Construction work is underway in 85 villages to provide the population with clean drinking water, and by the end of 2025, 60 villages will be fully supplied with water.
Currently, the authorised representatives of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the regions, heads of district state administrations and rural administrations hold monthly online meetings to discuss the implementation of delegates' appeals. Control is exercised at the management level.
