Kyrgyzstan’s revenue from property and interest has increased by almost 1.7 times

According to figures for January–May 2026, Kyrgyzstan’s revenue from property and interest reached 97.33 billion KGS, which is 66.9% more than in the same period last year. These figures have been released by the Ministry of Finance.

Over the first five months of 2025, 58.33 billion KGS was received by the budget under this heading.

The most significant growth was recorded in interest income. Whilst in January–May 2025 this stood at 264.3 million KGS, it rose to 1.47 billion KGS over the same period in 2026 – an increase of more than 5.5 times.

In particular, interest income on deposits rose from 40.7 million to 71.5 million KGS, an increase of almost 76 per cent.

The growth in revenue from property and interest indicates an increase in the state’s income from asset management and the investment of temporarily available budgetary funds.
