The EDB expects Kyrgyzstan’s GDP to grow by 10.2 per cent and inflation to stand at 11.5 per cent

The EDB forecasts that Kyrgyzstan’s economy will grow by 10.2 per cent in 2026. According to the bank’s assessment, the republic will maintain the highest rate of economic growth among the countries in the region.

According to the EDB’s forecast, the main drivers of growth will be the implementation of the state investment programme, infrastructure development, an increase in housing construction under the ‘My Home’ programme, as well as sustained consumer demand, supported by rising wages.

At the same time, the bank expects inflation to accelerate to 11.5 per cent. This is attributed to mounting price pressures on global commodity and raw materials markets, high domestic demand, and increases in excise duties and tariffs on housing and utility services.

Furthermore, analysts forecast that the National Bank’s key policy rate will remain at 12 per cent until the end of the year. According to the EDB’s estimates, the average annual exchange rate of the national currency will be around 88 KGS to the dollar.
