Among the key innovations is the expansion of the list of goods subject to mandatory digital labeling. Now sturgeon and salmon caviar, bicycle frames, certain types of lubricants, automotive fluids, as well as cosmetics with antimicrobial activity and disinfectants are also subject to control. The aim is to improve the traceability of goods and reduce the risk of counterfeiting.
A decision has also been made to expand the list of products that must be accompanied by navigation seals during transport. This measure is aimed at preventing illegal trafficking, especially of nicotine-containing products. The seals will make it possible to track the movement of goods under the agreement between the EAEU countries.
Finally, changes have also been made in the field of medicine. The rules for registering medical devices have been simplified—the new procedures should reduce the time required for expert evaluation and simplify the entry of products into the EAEU market, including Kyrgyzstan.
