06/17/2025, 11:29In January-April 2025, over KGS 1 million in damages caused by economic crimes were recovered in Kyrgyzstan. This trend is reflected in the budget execution report for the first four months of this year.
During the same period in 2024, the amount was only 3,734 KGS, a difference of more than 270 times. At the same time, according to the Ministry of Finance, revenues from economic crimes amounted to only 626,400 KGS for the whole of 2024.
It should be noted that economic crimes are offences related to illegal enrichment: embezzlement, corruption, tax evasion, money laundering, abuse of office and other actions that cause damage to the state budget and the country's economy.
