05/15/2025, 11:24According to preliminary data, Kyrgyzstan's gross domestic product (GDP) in January–April 2025 amounted to KGS 442.4 billion. This is 11.7% more than in the same period last year.
Economic growth was mainly driven by an increase in industrial production. The production of refined petroleum products increased by 1.5 times, and food products and tobacco products by 1.6 times. There was also a significant increase in the production of wood and paper products, pharmaceuticals, rubber and plastic products, construction materials, chemical products and basic metals.
In addition, mineral extraction increased by 1.4%.
Positive changes were also observed in other areas: construction increased by 53.3%, wholesale and retail trade by 8.8%, and agriculture by 2.8%.
