The Prosecutor General’s Office will investigate complaints from the construction sector regarding the actions of state bodies

Acting Prosecutor General Mambetaly Bekturganov met with representatives of the construction sector. Following the meeting, the Prosecutor General’s Office instructed that the issues raised by the entrepreneurs be investigated and that a legal assessment be made of the actions of state bodies.

During the meeting, representatives of the construction sector raised issues relating to the allocation of land plots, the issuing of planning permission, the expert assessment of construction projects and the exercise of state oversight.

Particular attention was paid to compliance with the timeframes for administrative procedures, the legality of decisions taken, and adherence to the moratorium on inspections of business entities.

Following the meeting, the relevant departments of the Prosecutor General’s Office were instructed to examine the arguments put forward by the business representatives, assess the actions of the authorised bodies and, where warranted, take prosecutorial action.

Furthermore, it is planned to address systemic issues requiring changes to legislation and administrative procedures in collaboration with the relevant government bodies.
