Government securities accounted for the bulk of trading on the exchange

On March 9, 2026, the total volume of transactions on the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange amounted to 391.35 million KGS. This is 176.6% more than previous figures.

The bulk of the turnover was accounted for by government securities. The largest trading volume was generated by two-year government treasury bonds GKO-2 years — transactions with them reached 382.84 million KGS in three operations. Investors also actively traded 12-month treasury bills GKV-12 months, with a transaction volume of 8.33 million KGS.

Trading in corporate securities was significantly more modest. Kyrgyzneftegaz shares traded in the range of 230-250 KGS, with a total turnover of 134,200 KGS. Kyrgyzstan Airports securities were sold at a price of 450 KGS for a total of 54,900 KGS. Thus, almost the entire trading volume on the market was provided by government securities.
