Ibraev inspected energy facilities of the tourist infrastructure in Issyk-Kul

During his working trip to the Issyk-Kul region, Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Energy Taalaibek Ibraev focused on facilities that directly affect the investment climate and the development of the region's tourist infrastructure.

A key element was the 220/110/24 kV Tamga substation, one of the hubs providing power to the eastern part of the region. Following the inspection, instructions were given to strengthen the material and technical base, including providing teams with service transport and renovating the administrative building. These measures are aimed at improving the efficiency of network maintenance and reducing the risk of accidents.

Particular emphasis was placed on the 220 kV Tamga–Karakol line project, which provides for the expansion of substation capacity and modernisation of infrastructure. The implementation of the project will create a reserve capacity for growing consumption, including from tourist and service facilities.

In Zhyrgalan, the minister inspected the progress of the electrification of the Ala-Too Resort ski complex. The energy readiness of the facility is seen as a key factor in launching the resort and attracting private investment. A 47 km overhead line is being built from the 110 kV Przewalsk substation to the new 110 kV Ala-Too Resort substation. The design has been completed, the contract has been signed, and the route is undergoing approval procedures.

The 35/10 kV Tri Vershiny and 35/6 kV Zhyrgalan substations have also been inspected, and the new Zhyrgalan section of the electrical networks will be included in the structure of the Ak-Suu RES. A review of staffing levels and the provision of equipment for the division has been commissioned.

According to the agency's assessment, the development of network infrastructure in the region forms the basis for the expansion of the tourism cluster, the growth of small and medium-sized businesses, and an increase in tax revenues. Energy projects are being implemented as part of the president's instructions to improve the efficiency of the industry and ensure sustainable economic growth.
