02/28/2025, 14:25Due to the reconstruction of hydropower unit No. 3 of the Toktogul HPP, electricity generation in the Kyrgyz energy system has decreased. At the moment, three out of four hydropower units are operating at the station, which affects the total volume of generation. This was reported in NESK.
In this regard, power engineers appealed to the population and other consumers with a request to economically use electricity to reduce the load on the energy system.
After the reconstruction is completed, the capacity of Toktogul HPP will increase by 60 MW, and the total volume will amount to 1,440 MW, which will improve the reliability of electricity supply in the country.
