09/15/2025, 15:31In January–August, consumer prices and tariffs in Kyrgyzstan rose by 5.1% compared to December last year. This is evidenced by data from the National Statistical Committee.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages rose the most in price, by 7%. Alcoholic beverages and tobacco products rose by 4.7%, utility rates by 3.2%, and non-food products by 3%.
Price increases were recorded in all regions of the country. The maximum increase was observed in the Chui region — 6.5%, mainly due to the rise in food and beverage prices (+9.6%). In the city of Osh, alcohol and tobacco prices rose the most (+9.7%), in the Issyk-Kul region – non-food products (+4.5%), and in the Talas region – services (+8.2%).
The structure of inflation remains mixed, with food and services exerting the greatest pressure on price growth.
