Construction of a combined cycle gas turbine unit started at CHPP-2

Mayor Aibek Junushaliyev held a meeting with representatives of Orta Asya Investment Holding OJSC on the territory of CHPP-2.

The plans for construction of a new combined cycle plant were discussed. The Mayor emphasised the need to follow the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic in implementing the project.

A scheduled meeting chaired by the Mayor was held in the conference hall of the capital municipality, where the implementation of investment projects related to the Bishkek CHPP and CHPP-2, as well as Bishkekselmash was discussed.

The results of the heating season were summarised. Deputy Mayor Talaybek Baigaziev noted that the season was successful, the stability of heat supply was ensured, the necessary repairs were carried out, and the capacity was preserved.

Currently, significant investment projects have been launched, such as the construction of a new combined cycle gas turbine at the territory of CHPP-2 and installation of gas piston equipment at the boiler house ‘Bishkekselmash’.
