05/20/2025, 14:51At a meeting of the parliamentary committee on fuel and energy complex it became known that only 10 out of 67 companies that received licences to mine placer gold in Kyrgyzstan are actually working. This was reported by First Deputy Minister of Natural Resources Kubat Kaseyinov.
Only these 10 companies regularly report on their work, he said. The rest cite internal problems, including a lack of funding and finding investors.
‘We are not hindering their activities - these are their internal issues,’ Kaseyinov said.
When asked by MPs about the possible revocation of licences, he noted that this is possible only after the licences expire.
