05/13/2025, 13:40From April 14 to September 17, 2025, a pilot project regulating the acceptance of money transfers in Russian rubles will be in effect in Kyrgyzstan. Its implementation has been approved by a decree of the Cabinet of Ministers and a resolution of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Under the new rules, OJSC Capital Bank of Central Asia has been designated as the settlement bank for all incoming ruble transfers. This means that ruble money transfers to the accounts of customers of banks participating in the project must be made exclusively through this bank.
The use of other correspondent banks is now considered a violation of regulatory and legal acts. In case of non-compliance, transfers may be returned to the sender or blocked.
One of Kyrgyzstan's commercial banks, Ayil Bank, has already published its updated details. Customers are advised to promptly forward them to their Russian partners and counterparties to avoid delays or rejection of transactions.
