07/14/2026, 10:52Preparations for the 6th World Nomad Games are in full swing, round the clock. This was announced by Mirbek Mambetaliev, Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy.
According to him, the Ministry of Culture is not slowing down its preparations. To coordinate the construction of the ethnic village on the Kyrchyn jailoo, one of the deputy ministers has been appointed to oversee the project and is on site almost constantly.
“We are not letting up for a single minute or second. The entire team at the Ministry of Culture is working to ensure high-quality preparations for the 6th World Nomad Games,” said the minister.
He noted that a fully-fledged ethnic village is being built this year at Kyrchyn, in the Issyk-Kul Region.
As part of the preparations, a new stage and grandstands are being constructed, along with the necessary engineering infrastructure.
In particular, water supply and sewerage systems, along with wastewater treatment facilities, will be installed on the site. According to the minister, this will ensure comfortable conditions not only for participants in the cultural programme and the country’s residents, but also for foreign tourists.
In addition, more than 100 toilets will be installed on the site of the ethnic village, including those adapted for people with disabilities.
According to the minister, the preparations for the venue have taken into account all the necessary conditions to ensure a comfortable stay for guests and participants in the games.
The Nomads’ Games will take place from 31 August to 6 September. The opening and closing ceremonies will be held at Bishkek’s main sports arena, whilst the competitions will take place in Cholpon-Ata (Issyk-Kul Region).
