The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated 24.4 million soms for equipment for the Republican Burn Centre

The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to allocate an additional 24.4 million soms to the Ministry of Health for the purchase of modern medical equipment and consumables for the burn unit of the Clinical Emergency Hospital.

The relevant order was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliyev.

The department, which receives more than 1,700 patients with various burn injuries annually, performs about 800 operations per year, which indicates a high level of surgical activity (94.1%).

However, insufficient modern equipment had a negative impact on the treatment and rehabilitation of patients, namely, recovery times increased and the risk of infection rose.

It is worth noting that on 17 June this year, Adylbek Kasymaliyev visited the Republican Burn Centre located in the City Clinical Emergency Hospital in Bishkek. During his visit, he personally familiarised himself with the current state of the centre and existing problems and gave instructions to provide the institution with modern medical equipment.
