The document brings the national procedure into line with the decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission dated July 9, 2026. According to this decision, Kyrgyzstan’s quota for duty-free imports of electric vehicles in 2026 has been increased from 15,000 to 25,000 units.
Thus, the country received an additional quota of 10,000 vehicles, and the total volume of duty-free imports increased by 66.7%.
The exemption applies to “pure” electric vehicles and series hybrids. Kyrgyz citizens who are permanent residents of the republic may import them duty-free.
The new quota was established by the EEC Council, and a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers enshrined the application of this decision in the national procedure for allocating tariff preferences.
