How the prize fund will be distributed at the WNG — organizers

The prize fund for the World Nomad Games is planned to be 49 million soms. Also, for the first time at the Games, the “great kok-boru player” and “great kok-boru horse” will be determined, which will attract additional public interest and become an incentive for athletes.

In horse racing, for example, depending on the distance, the winners will receive from 1 million soms for first place, and in the team event, kok-boru, players can expect 5 million soms for victory. This was announced at a press conference in Bishkek by Kazybek Moldazhiev, director of the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports under the Cabinet of Ministers, and Nursultan Adenov, head of the International Secretariat of the World Nomad Games.

Also, on the initiative of Kazakhstan, the traditional equestrian game kokpar has been included in the program of events for the first time. Our teams have already been formed and are conducting training camps.

The World Nomad Games will cover four locations that are attractive to tourists and guests: the hippodrome (Cholpon-Ata); the Gazprom sports and recreation complex (Baktu-Dolonotu village); the Rukh Ordo ethnic complex (Cholpon-Ata); and Kyrchyn (Semenovskoye Gorge), where a traditional nomadic environment will be recreated.
