Kambar-Ata HPP-1: preparations for the construction of Kyrgyzstan's largest hydropower plant continue

The Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic continues to implement one of the largest infrastructure projects—the construction of the Kambar-Ata HPP-1. The project is one of the national priorities and aims to ensure the country's energy security and sustainable development.

At the current stage, 60% of the work on the construction of access roads has been completed, the construction of the transport tunnel has been fully completed, and 93% of the concrete work has been completed. In addition, 20% of the work on the construction of a bridge across the Naryn River has been completed, 77% of the construction of the 110 kV power line and substation, and 30% of the construction of a shift camp for workers.

The creation of key infrastructure will pave the way for the main stage of construction of the hydropower plant. The Kambar-Ata HPP-1 project is designed to meet growing electricity demand, reduce the country's power deficit, and ensure Kyrgyzstan's long-term energy independence.
