Capital Bank to increase authorized capital by KGS 4 billion

Today, July 29, a large transaction worth 4 billion KGS was conducted on the primary market of the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange. The only participant in the trading was ordinary shares of Capital Bank of Central Asia OJSC.

A total of 80 million securities were sold at a price of 50 KGS per share. The transaction amounted to exactly 4 billion KGS.

Recall that in May, at a meeting of the budget committee, it became known that the government plans to raise funds on the domestic market in order to increase the authorized capital of Capital Bank of Central Asia. To this end, it was planned that the state would issue 15-year bonds in the national currency, the KGS.
The initiative was supported by deputies.

We would like to add that on April 1, 2025, Capital Bank of Central Asia OJSC officially became state-owned. On that day, an agreement was finalized under which 100% of the bank's shares were transferred to the Ministry of Finance.
