Seven domestic companies, including Global Agro, Interfruit, Alysh Dan Organic and others, demonstrated processed agricultural products such as walnut and apricot oil, pistachio paste and natural sweets. The participation was made possible with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce and a project of the Physikalisch-Technische Institut für Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) of Germany focused on the development of quality infrastructure. The exhibition was also visited by the Kyrgyz Ambassador to Germany Omurbek Tekebaev.
To enter the international market, Kyrgyz companies fulfilled a number of requirements, including laboratory testing, implementation of food safety standards (HACCP, ISO 22000) and adaptation of packaging to EU norms. These measures helped to attract the attention of European producers and distributors, which was reflected in numerous B2B meetings and negotiations with potential partners.
The programme ended with a meeting at the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Germany, where businessmen discussed opportunities to facilitate access of products to the EU market and further steps to develop exports. Such participation in major international exhibitions opens up new prospects for cooperation and market expansion for Kyrgyz companies.
