Kyrgyzstan exports more honey, but at a lower price

Since the beginning of 2025, exports of natural honey from Kyrgyzstan have grown in volume but have become significantly cheaper. According to data for January–April, 120.5 tons of honey worth 40.5 million KGS were sent abroad. For comparison, a year ago the country sold 138.7 tons, but earned 65.6 million KGS.

The average price of Kyrgyz honey fell by almost a third, from 473 to 336 KGS per kilogram (in dollar terms, from $5.29 to $3.86). The main supplies went to China, Kuwait, and Japan.

However, Japan and Saudi Arabia paid the highest prices – more than 1,200 and 1,460 KGS per kilogram, respectively. At the same time, China, the largest buyer in terms of volume, purchased honey at a price of about 247 KGS per kilogram.
