05/31/2025, 09:09Astana, May 30. On the sidelines of the International Economic Forum in Astana, First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Serik Zhumangarin.
The officials discussed prospects for enhancing Kyrgyz-Kazakh economic cooperation, including trade relations, joint investment projects, and preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to raising bilateral trade turnover to $3 billion by 2030. They also emphasized the need to accelerate implementation of joint investment initiatives.
Amangeldiev noted the traditionally strong partnership between the two countries, while Zhumangarin confirmed that the next Intergovernmental Commission session will take place in Kazakhstan later this year.
The meeting concluded with mutual readiness to intensify economic cooperation and ensure timely execution of joint plans.
