07/28/2025, 14:59The fifth meeting of the Kyrgyz-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation took place in Islamabad.
The delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic was headed by Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baysalov.
During the event, the parties discussed issues related to expanding trade and economic partnership, developing transport and logistics links, implementing joint projects in energy and infrastructure, as well as cooperation in agriculture, education, healthcare, tourism, and information technology. Particular attention was paid to the practical implementation of previously reached agreements and the establishment of direct contacts between the business communities of the two countries.
Following the meeting, the minutes of the fifth meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission were signed, as well as a number of bilateral documents, including memoranda on cooperation in the fields of investment, halal trade, standardization, and metrology. The signed agreements are aimed at creating favorable conditions for deepening economic cooperation and strengthening the strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan.
