Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan Strengthen Trade Cooperation: Government Bodies Discuss Implementation of Joint Action Plan

Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Sultan Akhmatov held a meeting with representatives of state agencies on the implementation of the Action Plan to increase mutual trade with Uzbekistan for 2024–2030. The document aims to achieve sustainable growth in trade, remove barriers, and develop industrial cooperation.

Interim results in priority areas—the export of agricultural products, textiles, construction materials, and electrical equipment—were discussed. Particular attention was paid to the need to accelerate the implementation of planned measures and intensify joint business initiatives.

Following the meeting, instructions were given to strengthen coordination, establish an operational exchange of information, and ensure a flexible response to emerging issues in bilateral trade.
