Kyrgyzstan Ranks Second in EAEU for Most Expensive Pork

According to official data from April 2025, Armenia tops the list of Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries for the highest pork prices

The average cost per kilogram reached $8.12 — nearly twice as much as in Belarus, where pork is the cheapest in the region at $3.71 per kilogram.

In Kyrgyzstan, pork was priced at $5.67 per kilogram, making it more expensive than in Kazakhstan ($4.52) and Russia ($4.51), but still cheaper than in Armenia. This places Kyrgyzstan closer to the upper end of pork prices across the EAEU.

The price gap between the cheapest and most expensive pork in the union is $4.41.

While Armenia leads in terms of price, it recorded a 0.5% year-on-year decrease in consumer pork prices. In contrast, Russia experienced the sharpest increase — up by 10.3%. In Kyrgyzstan, pork prices rose by 3.8%.

Kazakhstan and Belarus also saw price hikes of 3.4% and 5.5%, respectively
