04/08/2026, 12:54Chicken egg production in Kyrgyzstan in early 2026 showed the highest growth rate among the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. This was reported by the Eurasian Economic Commission.
According to data for January–February, the country produced 122.8 million chicken eggs. This is 29.5% more than during the same period last year. Production growth in Kyrgyzstan is significantly higher than the average rate for the EAEU, where it amounted to only 2.4%.
By comparison, egg production in Kazakhstan increased by 8.3%, in Russia by 1.9%, while Belarus recorded a 1.2% decline.
Across the EAEU as a whole, 8.8 billion chicken eggs were produced over the two-month period; however, Kyrgyzstan made the most significant contribution to this growth.
At the same time, production of other livestock products is also growing in the republic. For instance, milk production increased by 3%, and the volume of livestock and poultry for slaughter rose by 1.4%.
