Kyrgyzstan Joins Eurasian Mountain Resort Alliance

The Tourism Development Support Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic officially joined the Eurasian Mountain Resorts Alliance. The memorandum of co-operation was signed by the President of the Fund Kylychbek Rysaliev at the Eurasian Mountain Tourism Forum, which was held in Azerbaijan.

In his speech, Kylychbek Rysaliyev noted the importance of membership in the Alliance. According to him, this participation will help to attract international investment, which will accelerate the implementation of key projects to develop mountain clusters in Kyrgyzstan. He emphasised that the development of infrastructure in mountain regions is important not only to increase tourism attractiveness, but also to create new jobs and stimulate economic growth in various regions of the country.

The Eurasian Mountain Resorts Alliance brings together leading ski resorts from Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, and also includes South Korea, where a new Yongpyeong ski base is planned to open.
