This was stated by President Sadyr Zhaparov, speaking at the informal Summit of Heads of State of the Organisation of Turkic States, which is taking place today, 21 May, in Budapest, Hungary.
This is the first meeting of this format in the OTG observer country, Hungary, where the theme ‘Meeting Point of East and West’ is being discussed. In his speech, Sadyr Zhaparov emphasised Hungary's role as a bridge between the European Union and the Turkic world.
The President also noted that Kyrgyzstan's current chairmanship of the Organisation, which is taking place under the motto ‘Strengthening the Turkic world: economic integration, sustainable development, digital future and security for all’, is aimed at expanding cooperation between countries.
In addition, Sadyr Zhaparov announced a series of important events to be held in Kyrgyzstan to strengthen multilateral cooperation and invited the leaders of the OTG member countries to the autumn meeting of prime ministers and vice-presidents initiated by Kyrgyzstan.
