Kyrgyzstan has increased industrial output by 8.8 per cent

Between January and August 2026, Kyrgyzstan’s manufacturing enterprises produced goods worth 600.8 billion KGS. Production volumes increased by 8.8 per cent compared with the same period in 2025.

Several sectors recorded the highest growth rates. Production of transport vehicles rose by 46.8 per cent, construction materials by 33.4 per cent, and wood and paper products, as well as printed matter, by 44.7 per cent.

Certain chemical and oil refining sectors saw even stronger growth. Output of chemical products increased 2.3-fold, whilst that of refined petroleum products rose 1.8-fold. Production of pharmaceutical products grew by 15.1 per cent, and that of food, beverages and tobacco products by 8.4 per cent.

At the same time, electricity generation fell by 4.6 per cent. As a result, industry’s contribution to overall GDP growth stood at 1.55 percentage points, whilst the sector itself accounted for 18.8 per cent of GDP output.
