09/03/2025, 09:42The Minister of Economy and Trade of the Kyrgyz Republic, Bakyt Sydykov, signed a number of key documents in Tianjin (PRC) aimed at developing Kyrgyz-Chinese cooperation. The signing took place within the framework of the SCO Heads of State KGS Summit following a meeting between Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The parties concluded an agreement on the provision of grant aid, an agreement on conducting a feasibility study for the construction and equipping of the Bedel road border crossing point, as well as a memorandum of understanding between Kyrgyzstandart and the General Administration of Market Regulation of the People's Republic of China (SAMR).
The documents provide for the expansion of trade and economic ties, the modernisation of transport infrastructure, and the strengthening of cooperation in the field of standardisation and technical regulation.
