Speaking at the forum, Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev emphasized that Kyrgyzstan and Germany are entering a “new stage of cooperation” — from green technologies to the modernization of the economy and education.
He noted that just a few months ago, the previous Kyrgyz-German business forum was held on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul with the participation of more than 70 companies from both countries, which concluded the first cycle of events in the format of “Kyrgyzstan and Germany Economy Days.” According to him, the launch of the second cycle of this format in Berlin is an important step in further strengthening the Kyrgyz-German partnership.
"Kyrgyzstan is confidently moving along the path of modernizing the national economy. Impressive results have been achieved in a short period of time: average annual GDP growth was about 9%, and at the end of the first half of 2025, it was 11.7%. Industry, energy, agriculture, urban and regional infrastructure, transport, and the digital economy are actively developing," Kasymaliyev emphasized during his speech.
He added that the country is reforming the mining industry, implementing ESG standards, and is open to German companies participating in promising projects.
Particular attention was paid to the development of human capital, including the introduction of the German dual education system.
Adybek Kasymaliyev also reported on the preparation of a migration agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Germany, which will open up more opportunities for the employment of qualified specialists.
We would like to add that prior to this, the head of the cabinet met with members of the Bundestag from the Germany-Central Asia Friendship Group. The parties discussed political and economic cooperation, emphasised the high level of dialogue and the growing role of the region in German politics.
