Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan discuss reopening the Kamyshanovka-Ak-Suu border checkpoint

Kyrgyz Transport Minister Absattar Syrgabaev discussed with his Kazakh counterpart Marat Karabayev the possibility of reopening the Kamyshanovka-Ak-Suu border checkpoint. This checkpoint, located in Chui Oblast, could significantly facilitate the movement of citizens and goods between the two countries.

The issues of reconstruction of bridges on the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border were also raised at the online meeting. The development of transport infrastructure should improve trade and economic cooperation and make logistics more convenient. Deputy ministers and representatives of border services participated in the discussion.

The reopening of Kamyshanovka could reduce the load on other checkpoints and speed up traffic across the border. The Kyrgyz Ministry of Transport stresses that such initiatives strengthen good neighbourly relations and open new business opportunities.
